This in an original 1967 Ludwig Keystone Snare in the rare "DUCO" Blue/Grey color spectrum. This is a wood snare, and all hardware appears to be original. I did my research and this is the real deal. It has the mid 60's Keystone Badge and the serial# indicated its from 1967. It has the maple re-ring in the interior and the inner shell is painted white. You can see the date stamp in black and it says "October 19th 1967." It has scuffs around the shell and it could use a cleaning. The heads on it are old too. The functionality is great. Throw off and strainer are fine and work well. The felt-muter knob work fine too. Could use some minor TLC but its performance is a 9 0f 10. You can just tell the quality of this drum when you use it. Cosmetically a 7 of 10. I used it on a few recordings; the mahogany wood has a warm and tubby sound. Its time to pass it on to someone who has a greater use for this awesome snare. Feel free to contact me with questions. Buyer pays shipping, and have a box ready to go.
