Description
This 10-Reichspfennig
coin was minted in Germany in 1939. This can be a hard coin to find in UNC. The "A" on the number side of the coin means it was minted in Berlin Germany.
It
is a very sharp and clear for its age of 82 years. The third Reich change all of their coinage over in 1940 from alum/bronze to cheaper zinc metal coins, to help their war effort.
The eagles breast feathers are very sharp on this coin and, the oak leaves by the mint mark are also sharp and clear. The 1939-A 10-pfg. has a mintage of 40,171,000. This coin has not been cleaned.
I hope my photos will show, what a fine sharp example it is.
Well worth adding to a collection as a point of historical interest or as a replacement for a lesser coin in a on going collection. Many of the Third Reich coins were destroy at the end of WW2 so it can be a bit harder to find in this pristine
condition.
